The marina is the one part of the coast that feels like a town. The buildings are three and four floors, the ground floors are cafes and chandlers, and the quay fills up on summer evenings.
Most of what sells here is apartments and narrow townhouses. A few have moorings on a lease from the port. None have gardens worth the name, which keeps the upkeep low.
It suits buyers who want to lock the door and travel, and who would rather have a restaurant downstairs than a lawn.
The other quarters
- Cypress RidgeThe high shelf above the bay. Long west views, deep lots, and the quietest road on the coast.
- The TerracesOld farm terraces turned residential, with the dry-stone walls left standing.
- Old TownNarrow medieval lots above the village, where privacy is built rather than bought.
- Harbor PointWaterfront and near-waterfront lots with dock rights, on the sheltered side of the point.
- The DunesFlat ground behind the beach, where nothing is allowed to stand taller than the dune.
